Recently I spent a lot of time giving my truck some much needed attention and it has shown in many ways. Although, 99% of that was mechanical and unless I painted or replaced the part the only time you know anything was changed is when driving it.
One of the more cosmetic things I did was remove the red/green vacuum lines and the wastegate solenoid in the engine bay which was mounted to the spider because I installed a Turbo Master wastegate controller from Diesel Site. The lines and solenoid were no longer needed and only added clutter in my opinion.
Well, that left a spot roughly 2x2 on the very front of the spider that I was not happy with because it just looked out of place and blank. I set out to find a fix for it and today I have completed the fix.
I bought a large IH pin that fits perfectly in that spot. Then I glued it on with some epoxy and called it a day.
Top picture is before, the two pictures below it are after. I am very happy with the results as it adds some contrast, color and finishes off what i did up there nicely.
