No injuries as far as I know. Suspension wise there is something broken on my truck. Collision shop called yesterday and said he was up to about 4 grand before getting into the suspension.
Not knowing exactly what and how this happened. I'd say it looks as though you had pulled out from either a side street at an intersection, or driveway onto a road just in front of the Honda. Not saying that's what happened, but what it looks like could have happened. Sorry for this unfortunate incident. Look at it this way, where your truck sustained about $5-6k in damages (and most cosmetic at that). Her Accord sustained at least $15k in damages ( mostly structural and mechanical at that). Do you have any other photos if the damage to your truck. I'd be willing to bet that the front end is swayed to the right, but impossible to tell from that picture.

You are essentially looking at the damage to my truck except for the mechanical bits. I won't know about that part until the first of this week. Unfortunately, the collision shop is swamped right now. It took the estimator and I 15 minutes to find my truck.
All parts through Ford. The estimator told me they wanted $822 for the side step and $982 for the wheel. I told him I will take care of the step and I will probably have to find a wheel as he said it's difficult to find a new one.
FWIW that wheel looks as though it could be easily repaired and refinished much cheaper then buying a new one. Doesn't your state require drivers to have insurance? I thought that was a requirement in all states.

Believe me, if the wheel could be fixed easily I would do it. The gashes in the face of it are at least 1/4" deep and yes insurance is required. Why she wasn't cited is the question many have asked.

No fault at this point. Yes, I do have uninsured. It is going to come down to what the claims adjuster decides. He is waiting for the police report. My truck is covered. I have a thousand dollar deductible so I have skipped the side step replacement and I can get a refinished wheel on eBay for 200.
I would ask your insurance company who they use to repair wheels. You could also ask the body shop or Ford dealer. I've seen wheels in way worse shape than yours get repaired. Many of the repair shops give a lifetime warranty. When I worked at a dealer we used TransWheel & AWRS. They did a lot of fixes right on site.

Right now the collision center is sourcing parts. I told them if they couldn't find a wheel I have a line on a refinished one on ebay for $200. The biggest issue right now is my truck isn't scheduled until the 27th to start the repair and the estimator says it's a 7 day repair. So, a month without my truck. They are the best in the county.
