Just throwing this out there to see if anyone has any experience with these hoses. It seems like it will solve a couple of hose issues I have on my current project but I thought I would see if anyone had any pros/cons about them before I jumped in.
It's been a lot of years ago, but we used to use them on all of the show cars we built, back when I was building cars about 15+ years ago. They work good, just like you'd think they would. I don't recall any cons, other than the expense. Once you get past the buy in, they're pretty cool.
I found a 48 inch hose with 4 ends, enough to do both radiator hoses, for $53.99. I have gone the route of making mock-ups of hoses and then spending hours at Pep Boys and/or other stores trying to match my mock-up to their stock. I will gladly pay $54 for a clean solution to this problem. Thanks for all the inputs, buyers comments on the online sales sites all confirm that this hose works great. I have the hose on order and will post a pic when I have it/them installed.
Brent...nice setup, I would like to see pics of your 38 coupe sometime

Just my opinion but I don't like them. They work fine but around here when we see them we refer to them as JC Whitney hoses, expensive ones! As an alternative we use stainless tubing bends welded together to form the shape with a couple peices of hose on the ends to connect them.
Interesting. I have constructed radiator hoses using aluminum tubing (see pic) but I had to buy the tubing and then pay a welder to TIG the joints. I think that I would be pushing it to buy that solution for under $54. I will have to show a photo of these hoses to some of the local SoCal car guys to see it they have the same "JC Whitney" bias...got a show here at Santee Lakes tomorrow, might be a good chance to ask around. I will also see how many cars at the show have these hoses installed.

Charlie, that is a good looking hose set-up. I think the stainless flexible stuff is good quality and I have never heard of one failing. I think the JC thing comes from seeing very custom vehicles where a lot of money has been spent and you see one of those hoses when for a few dollars more you could have something like your photo.
CharlieLed, The '38 coupe is still a work in progress.
The doors were already suicide when I found it. Not my first choice.
Coming along, but I'm also working on the '51 F1 panel Coyote/4R75 project.
Sweeet! I had to put my 56 on the backburner after I bought a 40 Ford coupe in July, 2013. By the end of this month I should have the new 351 engine lit off and the body set back on. Always nice to have good projects waiting in the wings...
Hose just came in a few minutes ago, didn't take any time at all to fit the couplings and cut the first (upper) hose and get it installed. If it doesn't leak I am a happy guy...
Looks pretty nice. I have the cheapy flex hose from the parts store.... well its not super cheap. About $15/hose. I have 3. 2 uppers (inline T stat) and a lower. These are temporary.
I was looking into the Russell or Earls AN fittings and coolant hoses but those are $$$$$

Please let us know how it holds up.
Also where did you get your red spark plug wires? Part #?
