Drove to Eastern Washington tuesday and bought a 50 f1. The couple had owned it 44 years for driving to work and as a farm truck. Never had the time to fix it all up. Will post picture when I get a chance.
Truck has some normal rust in front fenders, cab is solid, bed is solid with steel floor. Some minor dents in rear fender, running boards solid. Was originaly flat 6 and owner installed flat 8 with 3 speed overdrive. They have not started it for several years. Engine still free. Thats my starting point, oil change, battery, temporary gas connection to see if it will fire. Changed to 12 volt. Seat has been recovered. I was planning on a 302 with automatic, upgrade brake system. I plan on doing everything myself except paint. This will be my everyday driver when done and get rid of my f150.
Hey Pokee,
Welcome & congratulations on finding your '50. Post some pics
when you get a chance. Really nice to see another '50 getting saved!
If you need any sheet metal patches - a member on here by the name of Reamer
does really nice cab corners, sills, etc. for our '48-'50 F1 trucks.

I've got a 302 with automatic transmission just sitting around in Eastern Washington.
