Retrosound radio install in 50 truck with pics
I use a radio I had from my 1966 Mustang. I ordered black ***** from Retrosound to replace the chrome ones that I had with the radio.
I wanted to install my Retrosound radio in my 1950 F3 truck. I had the radio and a delete plate.

This bracket fits between the screws that hold the defroster vents in. L shaped aluminum would have worked.
I then made a bracket to hold the rear of the radio up from a U shaped aluminum.

I purchased the Retrosound speaker that has two small speakers plus a large base speaker which is not shown,

Very nicely done! Does the Retrosound unit interface with Bluetooth, or is it purely an AM radio?

My radio is am/fm with MP3 player support. It has RCA plugs for an amplifier.. The face plate has the am looking dash but when turned on, shows the fm (or am, etc) with a lighted screen. They make a radio with Bluetooth if you want to go that route.

If you purchase theRetrosound Model Two Malibu radio it has a black face and push buttons. It is IPod and Bluetooth ready. The face plate is 3 7/8 by 1 7/8. You might not have to make a bezel.

Great installation; good solution for the application. I did avery similar thing but managed to find the factory radio adaptor plate for a latermodel radio and did what you did by fabricating an adapter plate between thetwo items.
