Magnet Sign for Old Telephone Truck

I am looking to have a magnetic sign(s) made for our old telephone truck from 1955 which was a Southern Bell vehicle my wife's father most likely drove when he worked the area it came from.

Any experience in having one made?

What do I need to take to the sign company? Picture of Logo? Digital image on flash drive? How clear does it need to be - can they adjust the clarity? Other ideas?

Thanks.

The better the pic is the easier it will be... Digital form helps Call around and ask what they need and if the have the company's logo in their database... One of the companies I use to work for made ours using AutoCAD... Show us what you have and I'll let you know if I can draft it using AutoCAD

Just a thought, do you need Bells permission to use it? Wouldn't want to hear you got yourself in trouble.

The sign would definitely complete the truck.

Will check on the copyright/trademark issue. The truck worked under Southern and Southeastern Bell companies before the breakups. Have seen many signs on tuck doors and beds from past companies, but do not know if they got an OK. I have no idea about legalities of companies that no longer exist, but will check and see.

Just about all graffics and sign guys can do this. But a strong word of caution with
these. Do not leave these signs on. Believe me, I found out the hard way. Just about
any dampness / moisture will damage the paint to the point of blistering= then rust.
And then the trademark issue, around here there is no phone company's (you don't
even get a phone book no more). use to be New England Telephone 'the Bell System" Now Comcast is the monopoly. Once you had a phone problem, the
phone co. would fix or give you a new phone. Now you are on your own. Better
off with a real sign painter my opinion sam

It's complicated. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Trademark See the paragraph on 'Maintaining Rights' and the non-use provisions. Your best bet might be to write and ask for permission to use it for your specific purpose, i.e. an antique / vintage restoration. You would think that whoever the legal owner is, would not have a problem since the company as such no longer exists. You might make the argument that your use of the logo would tend to increase the brand recognition of the existing company /legal entity, by association ....
