First of all I would like to thank all the guy's that answered my questions on engine cutting out, I always try to come here first because of the answers and you usually find my problem.
I have another problem on my 54 Ford pick up with a 302 and a recent T-5 swap. I had a trans shop rebuild a used T-5 and when I installed it there was no fifth gear so I took it out and sent it back to the shop, it had a small problem with fork alignment. Driving now and I have a slight wear noise comin from third gear but am reluctant to take it out again. My problem is I also have a clicking sound coming from reverse . My hearing is so bad it takes a while for me to pick up noises but it there and am not sure where it s exactly coming from . I am thinking its started drag. so I need some help.
t-5 world class [1990]
Ram flywheel
Ram hyd throw out
Autozone clutch & plate
bell housing ford but late 90,s
I was a little concerned about the bell housing but it came with the trans so it must of worked previously. I also had to modify the bearing retainer for the Ram bearing to work for the world class trans. I am probably rambling so there it is. help
I hate to say it, but the trans shop doesn't seem to have their act together. If it's under warranty, drive over there and let them listen to it. If they won't make it right, I'd go elsewhere. They certainly aren't rocket science.
