Arctic (Rich) Y Block

Anybody heard from Rich? He pm'd me about 10 days ago saying he was going to the hospital the following day for surgery to remove a blood clot in his brain. He said he expected to be back home in two weeks, which will be next Sunday. He also mentioned it would be a long two weeks without FTE. I haven't met him personally, but has always added to my posts and those of others with great enthusiasm and humor. To the tune of well over 14,000 posts!

Sorry to hear Rich is under the weather. He is a great guy, spent several days running around Prince of Wales Island with him in 2012 when I was in AK. Hope he returns soon.

He wrote me on the 22nd and his surgery was scheduled for the 23rd. Does he have a family? Just wondering.

When I was there he had his two grandsons living with him and other family nearby, so unless the situation has changed, he's not alone.

Didn't he offer to fly someone up to the frozen north to fix some problem he was having with his truck a few years ago?

Hope he's doing ok. Always a positive attitude and comments.
Surgery can be a bit scary. Hope he's on the mend and going to come post here and tell us all to chill out!
