Troy Buenger posted this in the 2017 section but I felt it was worthy of a cross post here for those that don't drop in there often. Looks like Ford has made it pretty clear that everyone's guess was right. The 2017 will be shown at the State Fair of Texas...
I'm betting it will be tweaked since then. I think that was actually a mock up. It looks to me like a new F150 with a SD front clip. That's why it was so low in the rear for a truck wearing 4X4 badging. If that's the case, lots may have changed since. At least the speculation will finally end in one month...
Please quickly determine if there is a 9th injector down the exhaust for regeneration rather than the current process of loading fuel in cylinders 5 thru 8 on the exhaust stroke

LOL, I can't see it from here. Maybe it's under the camo somewhere?
It's still the 6.7L powerstroke. I am not aware of any major engine modifications, which I would think would be needed if they eliminated regeneration from the left bank.
I didn't like the 2011 DRW fenders at first but as time went on I really like the looks of the 2011-2015 generation and not what's in this picture.
It's still all speculation. One more month. If the front is as bad as the picture from a few months ago, I'm out. LOL!
Thought I read where Matt @ Spartan mentioned only thing changing under the hood was a turbo upgrade. Can't wait to see what it looks like! Don't think my marriage can survive another surprise like my current 6.7 was...
I don't think the picture we saw earlier is the same truck. Look at how the hood is tapered down, just like the new F150. The earlier picture that was leaked the hood was straight across like a block. The revealed truck will look very close to the new F150 all around with just a few modifications.
I thought the '16 were already getting the new "Sync 3" QNX system but I could be wrong.
The regular 2016 already released Ford vehicles have the new system. I was messing around with it when I was test driving cars/suvs this weekend. I wouldn't see why the SD would get anything OTHER than "Sync 3".

I heard that it was of uni-body construction. See how there is no break between the cab and the bed of the truck. I also notice that the front fender wells are now round rather than squared off at the top like a GM truck.
