I have a 1947 Ford panel with a 302 Ford & AOD. The engine and trans is out of a 1981 Lincoln . Have put a lot of miles on the unit and the motor is finally shot. I had the trans rebuilt, found a rebuilt 302 for a 1988 truck, roller cam ect. After searching the net I have come to the conclusion that the the 81 Lincon flex plate and front pulleys ect. should work balance wise , is this true or do I need another flex plate Ect?. Thanks in advance , Ralph.

1981 is 28 ounce balance and 82 and newer 50 ounce balance IIRC. So no, you shouldn't mix those parts
