Can you SEE the grin on my face??? over a year later, a simple " just drop an engine in it, took on a life of it's own. Frame upgrade, new wiring, brake lines, fuel lines, gas tank, etc later...It drove out on it's own power!! Now we just need to replace the master cyl, and it's all gravy! Just wanted to share...current pics to follow!
Yahoo..I'm gonna go enjoy the open headers while they are there! New exhaust goes on tomorrow!! Whoo hoo!....
Way to go Renee'! One year is pretty much Warp 10 as far as I can tell when working with these old trucks.
BTW, the root of all evil in the world is the pair of four-letter-words "just" and "only". As in "just drop an engine in it" or "you only have to rewire it".
Absolutely SUPER to hear your news. While you drive it to the muffler shop, be sure to take the LLOONNGG way around - and stand on it every so often. It's not often anyone gets to hear/feel an open ended cleveland these days - should be a moving experience!

It sounds great! Trip to muffler shop postponed (yay!) due to bad master cylinder (new one!!). Stopping would be nice. I DON'T look forward to MORE brake bleeding! It is near the top of my list of things I HATE to do to my vehicles!
Can't wait to blow the doors off hubbys choptop! He's got a buick 350 in there. The C came originally came from a 71 GT Torino. Slightly modded with a mild cam and new carb. He always said it was an unfair matchup between the mustang and the pickup. So now it's fair I think!
The best sound in the world is that of your first child's first breath and the following bellow. The next best sound in the world is that of an engine starting for the first time after a lot of work!
