Compressor clutch engages, lines are cold, when it works air is cold. A/C guy thinks the blend door isn't working right, is it vacuum operated or electric? Gimme some clues guys. Thanks!!!!!!
When you say it works sometimes does it just go off? Or does it not work when you change different modes? defroster, max ac, ac, etc. High/low fan speed.
im not a mechanic but if it wasnt working on other mode but worked on another the blend door could be stuck, or maybe the blower isnt working (sometimes) Does your heat work all the time?
I know my ac clutch isnt working, it spins for 5 seconds and stops and starts up again, so i never use AC. During the winter when i use defrosters like once in a blue moon I would get a high pitch sound that would last like 7 seconds. Now I think i know where its coming from (probably the clutch)?.
Sorry I wasn't clear on what it's doing. It always blows air, just that most of the time it's hot air.
i would say its something with the blend door, Im pretty sure you can reach the blend door if you take out the glove box, then the top left in the corner theres a flap you pull off and the blend door should be there. But you should look more into it online, i wouldnt put all YOUR eggs in MY basket Good luck let me know what you find.
