2003 f250 7.3 blowby concern

Hi, I'm new to this but decided I'd give it a try since I'm concerned with this pickup I just bought. It's an 03 7.3l with 150k on it. It runs strong but does have trouble starting if chilly and not plugged in. I went to change the oil on it today and noticed excessive blowby out of the filler. I placed the cap upside down on the filler and it does try to lift it a bit. When placing my hand over the filler you can feel pressure. I took the ccv off to clean it and noticed the inlet hose was broke where it connects to the turbo. Don't know if this has anything to do with it. There was oil in the intake hoses but not in the filter. Should I be worried about the blowby? It does not smoke out of the exhaust. Only when it's cold and first started. I'm really hoping I didn't mess up by buying this pickup without checking the blowby. Any help is appreciated. Thank you

I wanted to add that the guy I bought it from said that they just replaced the hpop on it.
I also put rotella 15w 40 in it today hoping it would calm the smoking a bit out of the filler.

Found out today after taping up the rubber inlet pipe that was cracked and which connects to the turbo that when I leave the air filter disconected and place my hand over the pipe the blowby out of the filler cap goes way down. I notice the turbo sucks the blowby in when I do that. So I think the ccv may be plugged bad enough so I ordered a new one. Also I wonder since it has an after market air intake on it if that creates more blowby?

That doesn't look too terrible to me, mine has had that much blow by since about 100k ( that's when I noticed it) and it's got 440k on it now. If you are not having any performance issues I would forget about it.

The reason the blow by decreased when you covered the intake is because you created a low pressure in front of the CCV, the motor had to draw air from somewhere so it sucked it out of the crank case. If your CCV was plugged you would start blowing seals, the turbo Orings usually go first.

Is there a chip on it or was the PCM reprogrammed with an aftermarket tune? I have used a few different tuners over the years and with the more aggressive tunes that use earlier timing I had more blow by.

Yes it has a superchips tune on it. They are sending me the programmer for it since I forgot to get it when I picked up the truck. I thought I would put it back to the stock tune and see what it does. And was also thinking about putting the oem air intake back on it since it lives on the dirty farm.
I hope you are right and I should quit worrying about it. All I'm asking out of the truck is 100k more miles but 250k more would be nice too.

Do you know what model superchips? I had a superchips 1705 years ago and I was less than satisfied with its performance.

When you get the programmer try returning it to stock and see what the blow by looks like then.

I don't know what model it is. I looked them up online and found they are pretty cheap tuners. Or at least comparing what I gave for my EFI live tuner on my 09 Duramax and which is awesome btw. I'll try the stock tune when I get the tuner tomorrow. I really appreciate your advice since I was about ready to put the truck back on the market.

I got the superchips programmer back and installed the stock tune back on it. The truck idled rough and smoked more out of the tailpipe. So I returned the tune to the economy setting. It runs much better now.

But I have noticed a couple times when accelerating that it misses/hesitates for a split second. Only has done this twice that I've noticed.

I think I'll try and perform a compression test so I can quit worrying about a bad cylinder.

Any more opinions on my video with the blowby would be greatly appreciated too.
