Hey guys I was wondering if those mirrors off of a 92 bronco would fit on a 79 f150. Have any of you guys seen it done before?. I personally don't like the mirrors my self but it's what the owner wants lol.
I just don't remember these. I skipped the mid 90's as far as Ford trucks go. Went from a 90 to a 97. Since they seem to mount to the top of the door in a single location, think it should be fine.
The single post may work well. Avoid the ones that look similar to the factory 70's mirrors (2 post chrome). They have a different angle on the top bar. Previous owner put some on my truck and they stick way up (see photo)
The ones I'm talking about are the ones 4x4slick put up. My question is what to do with that bracket? Do I need to cut a hole in the door for that bracket?. I haven't got to the shop yet to have a look for my self but just by looking at the mirrors I'm nor really sure what to do lol

This mirror is relatively heavy and requires the interior arm to be mounted/braced/supported... and no, securing it to the interior door metal is not a bolt-on affair.
I know I'm probably asking to much but do you guys happen to know of any guides on how to instal these things on a 79 door? Like what and where to cut?

I did this to my doors & love it way more than the massive mirrors that I had before. Its super easy once you know where to put the hole in the door. DO NOT cut off that brace, these things shake a little in the wind even with them. I don't know how to link my pics, but check them out in my gallery. You'll need new jack nuts ( those expanding screw/nut/washer things) & 2 bolts for each mirror. Mounting point on inside of door is a bit of a guesstimation where the brace lines up, but mine went right to the inner doorskin with no spacers. Check those other linked threads - thats where I learned. Find out where to put the hole for the brace & the rest is almost factory. Good luck!
