Ford Nav Radio Upgrade Install Question

I've recently installed an oem Ford nav radio out of an '08 Expedition into my '06 F350. I've read a lot of the posts on this swap, but still a little confused. I know it needs to be reprogrammed, but I'm looking for a few pointers to tell my local dealer when I go back in to get the as built data installed in the ACM. The first time I was in they claimed they couldn't "find" the ACM on the CAN BUS to push the as built data to it, even though I've done what others on this forum have done for these years F series trucks (and they claim it works afterwards). Is there something I'm missing? The radio functions great except for the illumination dimmer is inop, speed change volume is inop, and the GPS arrow lags behind about .5 mile while driving (still knows where I'm at and turns with my turns just behind a bit).

Ok what is the ACM?

And please post back how things work out.
Oh how I hate the Pioneer NAV unit I have in mine.

Yahiko the ACM is the Audio Control Module (Radio). I'll be posting results as soon as I get this one working correctly.

I just need a Ford Tech that's done this to chime in and give me some pointers as to what to tell my Ford Tech.

wow i was under the impression that this swap wasn't possible do to differences in the radios between those years (like external amps vs internal amps) with out adapter interfaces that weren't being made until recently

i know a company 4D Tech, Inc. | Ford Navigation Upgrade Kits and Accessories that now sell them
you might give them a try, they can program radios also

let us know how it goes

It's possible. There are a couple guys on here that have done it a few years ago. I just wanted to try and have my local Ford dealer try the "as built" data program before I sent it off to 4Dtech or United Radio, which both say it just needs a reprogram and it will be good to go.
