Hi guys, I tried searching on this topic, but didn't come up with too much.
What do you recommend to use for replacement bulbs in the 03 Expy headlights? Or, do you prefer the stock? What about the cheap ones on Ebay? Or, should I stick with PIAA or aonther?
WITH PROJECTOR STYLE HADLAMPS TO BEGIN WITH, THE TRUCKS "SHED" MORE LIGHT THAN THEIR PREDECESSORS. DEPENDING ON WHAT YOU ARE ATTEMPTING TO ACHIEVE, YOU CAN MILDLY UPGRADE TO A "PLATINUM" BULB FROM PIAA THAT WILL PRODUCE A LIGHT CLOSER TO WHITE, OR GO ALL THE WAY TO AN "HID' BULB THAT REPLICATES SUNLIGHT. BE PREPARED TO SPEND LOTSA MONEY ON ANY HID, THEY DONOT COME CHEAP.
Sylvania Silver Stars are the wat to unless you upgrade to a complete HID SYSTEM,NOT just bulbs. I had PIAA's $65 Superwhite bulbs advertised as 55 watts equals 100 in my 98 Expy, they IMHO were no better than the OEM bulbs.Everyone I know who's gone with the Sylvania's is happy with the improvement they provide.
