The M5R2 was the standard in the 6 cylinder early 90's F-150

They come up for sale all the time on CL

Look for people parting out a complete truck as opposed to just looking for a trans.

Think about it this way. The first m5OD lasted over 25 years. why not go for another one? in another 25 years if you still have the truck, you probably wont' mind changing the tranny again...

If you're looking for a manual transmission for your vehicle, you don't need one from behind a 300/4.9. It just needs to be a small block bolt pattern, which includes the 302 and 351v8s as well as a few other engines.
