Replace an outer CV Boot.... Mine must have gotten torn while off-roading... The Extended Warranty will cover a "failed Joint" but not the boot... So I have 2 choices run it till the CV joint fails or replace the boot myself....
Any help is appreciated... (BTW I have a pretty decent compliment of tools - FT-Lbs and IN-Lbs tourque wrench - Air ratchet etc)

Don't waste your time replacing a boot, especially the outer because in doing so, you'll have to replace the inner as well (the outer CV doesn't come off the shaft). I almost did this mysleft recently but quickly learned that it's not worth it. After you spend $30 on aftermarket boots you'll probably find damage to the joint components themselves anyway. Even if all was well inside, it'll take you a couple of hours to remove, rebuild and replace. Go to Napa or the like and order a CV Halfshaft. It'll be like $200 with a $100 core. It'll take you 30-45 min to remove old one and 30-45 min to put the new one on and then 15 minutes to return the core!
