I'm in Melville, Sk. Got quite a few Ford trucks here. 2003 Ranger Edge for a daily driver, numerous 93 to 2008 Rangers for projects and parts, 52 F2 on a Ranger chassis, 60 Merc fire truck, 67 F350 stepside, 80 and 86 F150 4X4, reg cab, SWB, couple of 87 to 92 parts trucks, 94 and 97 F250HD 4X4 reg cab, LWB, and my 84 F150 beater truck AKA "the war wagon". There may be more, sometimes I'm not sure, but I sure catch it when my wife finds out!
Welcome to our humble chapter Ray!
That`s a nice fleet of Ford trucks, the F2 on the Ranger chassis is especially interesting, can we have some details on that?
Been on the back burner this summer, but it did fit pretty nice. Running the 3.0 and 5 speed from the Ranger. Planning to lift the box about 3" to line up better with the body.
Welcome Ray... I'm a little to your east, just outside Yorkton. Been working for a while on AgriPark Road this fall and winter Cool group of Fords you have! Interesting concept of using the Ranger box on your restoration. It actually looks like it'll match well.
The Ranger box on the 52, (or was it 51, can't be sure anymore), was an idea out of necessity. Did not have a decent original box and the cab was from a larger truck anyways. Spent a lot of time scratching heads about lowering the cab on the frame, (requires channeling), or raising the box. If you noticed the picture of the shifter hole, that pretty much cemented the decision to raise the box, but now the challenge will be to lower the whole truck. 2000 2WD Edge chassis from the donor Ranger.
Forgot a couple trucks in the project fleet.
38 Ford 2 ton, 56 F350 and a cab from a 66 N600. I'm going to be pretty busy! I really need to download some pics.
96sherm, We'll have to share a coffee sometime, sure are close enough!
