No things are still the same, you can't edit the galleries and we were told we wouldn't be able to. Hope you can enlighten us with better news.
When I asked, I was told the old galleries are being kept as read-only, since the new galleries are going to be the standard.

I can ask tech to see if it's possible at all to migrate the old images over, but I believe it was on too ancient of a platform for the team to integrate these images back properly into the new gallery product--which is why we decided to keep them as they are now.
The users shouldn't have any problems accessing their old galleries since if you click on the username inside the forum it drops down the menu to your list of old galleries (which we will address to redirect to the new gallery).
