I would post this somewhere else, but i dont know anyone else on FTE, y'all are like my brothers (and sisters) here... Well to summarize a long story, i had a 04 Blaster i had alot invested into, i sold it to get my truck, but didnt need to, because i had that much left over (back when i was 15). Then i went without a quad for a long time. It was raining today and i got a wild hair up my ***, decided to ride up to the dealer and "look" at what i saw on the internet, and wanted. I went straight to this one, saw some buddies that were trying to get some financing approval on a street bike they wanted. I asked the guy if i could get approved for financing on that 700r over there, 5 minutes later and a few signatures, i was approved. An hour later, and about 30 more signatures, i brought home this thing! Ive always wanted one since i got rid of my truck, and now i have one!
First riding impressions- Damn this thing DEMANDS respect, it is brutally fast. Ive just driven it through the grass and on the driveway, around some wet fields slowly.... Here enough talking, take a look. Click on the pic.
yeah i know the 450 was more of a race bike, but im not going to race this, alot. More so a fat powerband for putting around on, goofing off and trail riding! I have ridden a 450 a while ago and i dont remember if its faster than this but damn it hauled! And i like the looks of this!
Thats a nice machine! Our group up here (check my sig) typically runs utes, but the favorite one in my stable is the wolverine. Our trails are pretty slow, and the 2wdrives can't navigate them as well. That being said, we have a lot of trails up north on old logging roads and abandoned railroad beds. Too dusty for me! Our trails just opened two weeks ago, and I haven't been able to get out and ride.
Anyway, get out there and ride, and enjoy yourself! Keep the shiny side up! And I for one would like to see some pics of where you (and others) ride.
Kinda funny, when I saw your thread, and before I clicked on it, I just KNEW it was going to be a Yamaha Raptor, and a blue one at that. lol. Fooor some reason, I had a feeling.
I was thinkin nerf bars first. This thing is too fast for me (ha yeah right for a week maybe), i dont think i need to do anything to the suspension or power department, for a few weeks. I never liked black wheels but i love how these look on the quad. Thanks for all the compliments guys.
Nice ride, Kris. Can't believe how much fun you can have on one of those. (I won't preach about being careful.) I agree with Brandon about looking at wheels. The black is nice but the alloys are sharp.
Sweet bike, Kris. Our trails are not something that you can ride with a machine like that though I have always wanted one. Instead I have a 700 Polaris Sportsman. Soon going to be upgrading to the 800, just like the extra power.
