1977 Ford F250 FreeWheelin
Hi, I have been on this forum for a while now and have just been reading up on info for my truck. But i have not made any posts, so i figure i should. My name is Kris i am 21 years old and i have owned this truck for almost 3 years now. I bought the truck for $3,500 not knowing what this truck is or was. Until i read on this forum about a rarity of the the Free Wheeling option, and after some further research and alot of investigating( and some old ford brochures). It turns out that is what i have. What a hoot. Instead of painting the truck a different color i decided to restore the truck to its original Awesomeness. I plan for a restore, and hopefully in the next couple of months go for a stump pulling Ford 545.

I purchased some new tires for the truck, 35/12.50/16 maxxis buck shot mudders.
Here the truck is next to my dads truck, 1977 Chevy crew cab dually with a 12 valve cummins.
And i got the truck painted, due to the fire we had some of the ash got through the filters of the paint booth. So they had to re-paint the hood, which is the reason it isn't on there. Also had some cab light installed.

The graphics are done now and on the truck, i purchased a lmc headliner and had it installed with a cb. She is looking really good now.
Here is the headliner after the shop got done with it, it looks and sounds awesome. Its like having headphones on while driving the truck haha.
And the truck as she sits now in all its glory, the wonderful lmc cab lights already burned out as you can see. This is 3 weeks of them being on there.

That truck looks awesome. Glad to see you put the free wheeling stripes back on. I was afraid they were gonna be done away with. Love cowl hood, but not as big of a fan of the halo lights. But that's just another example of what makes everyone different. My thing is I just don't see the point of the halo.

The halo headlights in my opinion, adds a bit of flare to the truck giving it something new to an old girl. As for the grill i am definitely going to do that, i didn't paint the grill. It was a quick fix, the other one was broken in some spots and for 50 bucks from lmc i got new ones. Thanks for sharing that information.

Awesome truck! I have never seen a freewheelin f250. My first pickup was an orange freewheelin that my dad bought new. Brings back many memories growing up with it. Where did you get the new decals?
FYI on the grill the inner parts of the grill were left black on the freewheelin grills. Only the outer edges of the grill and the vertical bar inside of the headlights was painted silver. If you don't believe me take a look at some of the sales brochures and you will see what I mean.
