Brake arm problem-pic

Trying to get ideas how to fix this problem. I have the cpp bracket with tuff stuff booster and wilwood MC. The brake arm is 1.5" away from the hole. The floor mount plate is from midfifty. I called and they checked the warehouse and said my brake arm was off of normal location. One idea was to heat and bend it. I was thinking about cutting it and putting a 1.5" spacer to relocate the pedal, but leave the mounting position the same on the cpp bracket.

It seems like the pedal will be too close to the column, do you have a picture of the pedal/brake booster set-up on the truck.

If the booster lines up with the pedal ok I would heat and bend a "Z" into the pedal a couple inches higher than the pedal mounting point to move it over to the right. Torch and a vice will fix it right up.

I'm gonna do some further inspecting tonight after work and see whats going on. I'm thinking the torch will be the quick fix, but wanna get a better view first. I'll post what I find...

I think there is a block that is bolted to the inside of the frame if I'm not mistaken that makes the mounting point inward by the thickness of the frame. I have a bare frame and can check tomorrow.

Do you have a pic of this block?

I'll take a pic tomorrow for you. I think it is like a section of frame that is reversed inside the frame. It's been awhile since I've looked so hope I'm not steering you wrong, it's dark here now otherwise I'd go and check and take that pic.

Yes, that's the piece I was refering to, if you mounted what you have to it wouldn't that put your brake pedal arm i the correct position? You would likely have to remove the bushing.

Not sure, I don't have that piece. My bracket is the entire pedal and bracket. Newer pedal. Looks like this piece...

There has to be someone on here that has installed one to tell you for sure. I think if you couldn't find one you would be able to make something that resembles it.

1953-56 Ford F-100 Power Brake Booster Kit, Pre-valv, Disc-drum

Looking at the instructions from the Midfifty site it looks like you need that part

It looks like the location is right, but the factory pedal had a bend in it. Not a Z bend, just a single angle near the pivot point. Yours looks straight in the pictures.

That midfifty kit isn't the one I have. Effie, I agree with the factory pedal having a bend in it. Mine is straight as a whistle
