Has anyone mad the switch from the Michelin's to the Cooper's. I've been reading a lot and almost everyone likes the AT3's but some complain that they are noisy and have cost them a couple of mpg's.
I have the AT2's on now and have found them lacking in the traction department sand, wet snow and the gravel at the boat launch and I have to put it in 4x4. They have 9/32" of tread on them still.

Any real world experience in the switch?
I didnt switch from them but I can tell you from just looking at those two myself I chose the AT3's. I made my decision based on cost mainly but I can see the mpg claims (I went from a 35" to a 33" so I gained in mpg). The AT3 is a little more aggressive than the Michelin's but as far as road noise.... I havent noticed any. I got out of Discount Tire for under $980 and thats with everything I could add including replacement, balance, rotate etc....
I like my AT3's, but have only had them on maybe 1000 miles. So take my thoughts for what they its worth.
