05 Navigator HID Upgrade
Hello everyone!
First, I apologize if this topic has been beat to death, circa 03-06 to present, but I did try searching for a good 40 minutes and came up short of answers, so here it goes!
I have a 2005 Navigator without HID's and I want to add HID's. It appears that the connector for the bulb is built into the headlight assembly, thus making it very difficult to add HID bulbs and ballasts to the car without some modification.
So, do I need a new headlight assembly, ballasts, and bulbs that are more or less equivalent to the OEM HID's?
Or is there a way to get a normal HID kit working? Some sort of adapter perhaps or smaller ballast that fits into the headlight assembly?
Or, do I just modify the assembly so that it will accept a aftermarket HID kit?
I'd love to see what others have done. Thanks in advance!
