Finally did it!!! Installed a H&S mini maxx (HOTX tunes), Flo-Pro 5" SS exhaust straight piped(6" TIP), S&B cold air intake, H&S EGR delete.
Sounds great! Smells good!
Look at this Emissions junk...
Dash mount...
After 200 miles of driving the last few days the trans has settled down from the re-learn process, shifts firm now( not too soft or too hard). Iam concerned with the 30-34 psi boost I have hit 2 times today... The guys and Amy at SPE have been great!!!!One of the guys at SPE was telling me earlier they have a tune that is right around 500 HP and the boost maxs out at 25 psi. I'm considering that tune so I don't have to worry about my turbo when I'm puttin my foot in it!!!
Thanks to all the guys who have helped educate me on this process!!!
Nice work, welcome to the club!! You will love it!
One thing you can do to control high boost is to set defuel levels in the mini max, maybe you already knew that but I thought I'd mention it. I have mine set at 32psi.

I set my defuel to 30psi a couple hours ago, I had it set at 35 psi since I installed everything.
Maybe you can clear this up for me... What is actually happening when the mini maxx starts chirping due to DEFUELing parameter being reached.
I'm guessing/assuming the fuel pump backs down and slows the flow of fuel...???? I'm no engineer but that's what I'm assuming. If what Iam assuming is true then.... How long does it stay in defuel???
I need to research more about DEFUELing. If ya'll can educate about DEFUELing I'd appreciate it.
I would prefer the tune to have a max boost limit so I can just hit the go pedal and not even think about it...
When the mini maxx starts defueling, it just keeps the truck to the stock parameters, aka what the factory set it at. You should also make sure you have cold coolant, hot coolant, trans oil temp, and the boost PSI you already have. Really makes a huge difference doesn't it? Wait till you turn it in 4HI and have it on the performance tune and gun it, hurts the neck lol.
