No afilliation - just saw it on CL and know some people are interested in them. Their definition of little rust and mine are definitely different. Southern Oregon.

1952 Ford F1 All Wheel Drive Pickup

"Very straight and solid. Factory contracted the install for All Wheel Drive to Harmon-Herrington. Engine and Trans are missing. Has both differentials and transfer case. Complete, all the little items are here for a restoration project, not much rust at all considering it's age. These are rare.
Call Asa Hanson to see 541-621-6699 "

Ha, you and I both. Although I've seen many ads local to me in which the seller believes in their mind that if the vehicle won't quite snap completely in two if jacked up - it's still solid as a rock.

The owner of that one seems to have priced it knowing it's rarity and collectibility. It's not a steal but not way out of bounds either in my opinion.
It's nice that that part of it was kept fairly complete over the years.

Tom

This is real, and quite fairly priced imho. Wish I was "needing" to add one to the fleet. But it won't be mine. It was originally a 215 truck. Stu

If this truck was on the east coast near you instead of west coast, with no shipping issues, I'd bet Chuck would already have it spoken for. Stu

The data number shows it to be assembled at the Louisville, KY plant. Has 53+ rear fenders. Stu, I sent you an email.

Any one near Grants Pass, OR willing to check it out for me, please? I want to confirm that it has the original MH specific parts, as well as the condition of the sheetmetal, floor and inside the cab.

Thanks!

VIN is F1D2LU17962. It's one of several Louisville trucks I have archived, including one of my 51s. Seems the most common plants were Highland Park, Louisville, and Chicago. We also have the one Merc M-3 that went to Indy for conversion from Windsor. Chuck has said that any of the plants could be correct for an F-1 conversion because a few half ton kits were sold to permit dealer installation. This would not have occurred on the F-2 and larger models. I replied to your email. The transfer case and mounting hardware look complete to me, but Chuck may see something more of significance. It's not all that rusty from what the pics show. But that I am sure aint all of it.
I think what makes it look so scabby is the blue flaking house paint. If I had a shop
I would be all over that. The price is very good, even without a body. Just for the M-H
stuff.

I told Ilya in my email that I claim dibs on the transfer case, brackets, and linkage if he parts it out. But I think it's honestly too complete a truck, from what can be seen, to break it up. Stu

I'll be in Medford in a couple of weeks. It will be a quick turn-around trip, so I can't promise that I could get to Grants Pass.

The body from what can be seen looks to need a lot less than most of the ones
being done on here. Oregon is known for some pretty damn good iron.
It looks to be a pretty solid west coast truck to me. I am thinking once it was
media blasted there wont be a lot of rust out on her. Is someone going to go and look at it? Let us know what ya find in the corners and floor.
Or are Stu and Ilya fighting for it? As I am definitely interested but to broke to
prolly do to much other than get it and store it until I could get it up here.

But really are one of you guys going to get this? PM me if ya are please.

I'm really thinking about it. It's about a 6.5 hour trip one way for me. I can get it in one day. I'm making the call to the seller soon. I have body/misc parts to make it complete. I also have a spare LD 3 speed trans, but scrapped a completed 215 engine several months ago.

I'm not a buyer. Unless Ilya or another buyer parts it out in which case I have need for the transfer case. But I don't think it'll come to that. It should be bought and kept whole. There are 215 engines available out there, and it deserves to get put back in service. Stu

Ilya,

I have done that drive enough times to know....it'll take you 8 hours to Grants Pass if you're towing. There are a couple of pretty good sized hills between here and there. If it is a true MH truck that price isn't too bad. Make him an offer! I'll be up there the weekend of Feb 22....let me know if you need a hand.

I was going to say that the seat in the pictures looks like the seat that was in my truck!! That cotton batting is a favorite nesting place for all sorts of rodents!!
