I have some time to head to a salvage yard today and have been considering swapping out my front drums to disks as mentioned. I want to retain my front wheels (original) if possible but will change them if need be. I definitely would like to keep the 8 lug bolt pattern to maintain symmetry front to back. Regarding front parts: all I need is spindles outward? And can I pick parts off 68-79 vehicles or do I need to stick with bumps?
Most everybody gets the stuff off a Dent. Find yourself one and pillage it. From the pedal forward. M/C, booster, brake lines, proportioning valve,Etc. I know there are a couple of guys that did the research and listed all required. One of the was HioSilver.

Thanks Jefffafa. My concern is the difference on an F250. I've had friends make the swaps before in F150s using a whole range of parts, but thry were uncertain about the 3/4 ton compatibility between years. I'll be doing some more research and seeing if I can find info. Also hoping someone who has actually done the swap on an F250 bump will be able to chime in.
I'm not positive about the 67's (the red-headed step child of the bump years) but a 68-72 F250 can retain the original spindles. The drum brake setup unbolts from the spindles and the disk brake set up bolts on. Here's a write up I did when I did mine: The FORDification.com Forums • View topic - Started the disc brake conversion

What he would need from you would be the dust shields and anchor brackets, the brackets with the two arms that the calipers actually bolt onto. Plus maybe the proportioning valve. Everything else is available aftermarket.
