Excursion Body Mounts - Discontinued

Been chasing the dreaded front end clunk noise for months now....

Struggling to find body mounts for my Excursion. The ones that always make noise under the front drivers and passenger side feet floorboards.

The upper insulator is part # YC3Z1000154AA

The bottom insulator is part # YC3Z1000155AA

Trying to find 2 of each above part number has been difficult. No current stock anywhere in the country with every dealer I checked with.

Amazing that Ford would discontinue these already. Has anyone had luck just adding the shim? The sway bar links were already replaced.

Any leads would be appreciated, or anyone with extras please send a private message.

I think by law the manufacturers only have to supply parts for a vehicle for 10 years.

Hopefully the aftermarket will step up to fill this void.

I bought polyuretane shims from dealer and install them.
No problem since.
Any 1/16 plastic will do if you want to DIY.

Wouldn't that let them off the hook in 2015 not 2014

The Super Duty trucks and Excursion didn't have the same insulators?

I replaced mine about 4 months ago and my dealer had to order them from some 3'rd party company that buys up all of these kinds of parts. At the time, the place they ordered them from said they only had 11 of them left on their shelf.

It makes me pretty angry that Ford would do this... I don't see any aftermarket company stepping up to manufacture these parts either. Face it, we bought a "dinosaur" as far as most of this country is concerned...

When I get the irritating "clunking" again someday (and it will return), the Ex is gone. I love it, but I'm already scrounging for specialty parts, it will only get worse as the years roll on.

I wish you luck in finding these parts my friend. If you find a "home-brew" fix that actually works (there have been a few, but they don't really work) PLEASE share it with us.

James

The Ex has a different shape than the SuperDuty unfortunately... at least as far as my dealer showed me on his computer at the time.

Part # 1000192 is the same part for both the Excursion and Super Duty there?

10 model years, not calendar years and even then it seems to be hit or miss. Unless someone wanted to bring the issue up in court, I doubt us regular consumers are going to have much luck, especially if the part is available at a dealer somewhere in the county. They start in the 3rd quarter so its pretty close, but yeah not quite there yet since the last 2005 was sold 9/30/05.

I have at least 4 mounts that are smashed and cracked. I ended up buying a POLY kit for the F250 but haven't attempted the install yet. From what I remember from my research a few months ago, the front 3(per side) are the same for the Excursions... so the backs are different than the F250's. And I want to say that the Ex has one more per side.

This is the front most drivers side:

And
THIS THIS
is the kit I bought.

I was planning to do a how-to for the tech folder when I did the install, but not sure when I'd be doing it.

Same kit but a few bucks cheaper. Thankfully I don't (think) I need to replace mine.
