Looking at a used 13 F150 FX4 Crewcab V6 ECO with 14,000 miles. Truck is loaded with Leather, Navigation system, sunroof, sprayed in Bedlner. Dealer is certifying it with 7 yr/100,000 mile power train warranty. They are asking $40, however I offered them $33k plus TTL.
They countered at $37k out the door with TTL included.
I countered back at $36 out the door with TTL included.
If figured if I have to pay over $36k, I might be better off buying new?
With all the rebates and deals out there on the 2013's, I'd go for a new truck. If you're considering paying $36K for a used one, you should be able to deal on a new one for less than $40K. I bought a '12 Lariat crewcab, loaded, ecoBoost, with mud flaps and bedliner installed in Feb. 2013. List was $51K. Got it for $38K as it was the last '12 on the lot, and the dealer wanted to move it. You should be able to do about the same. Check several dealers, make an offer, then walk away. Good Luck!!

For comparison, a colleague of mine Just purchased a new '13 Lariat, 5.0, scab, 4x4 for 35k out the door, with spray in bedliner. I don't think he got an ESP, so figure basic bumper to bumper. 4x4 lariat is very close in pricing to an FX4. Now, had the truck come with an ecoboost, the price points might have been higher.
Have you got any comparison pricing from a dealer? Might want to see what incentives are available, you might get a great deal on a left over '13
I say go new as well, 14,000 miles is a year of driving gone. That's 14k miles closer to new brakes, tires, all the fluid changes, also that's 14,000 miles of wear and tear on the interior and everything else.

Funny you mention fluids. My rig has 33,339 on it and during today's oil change, the service advisory was trying to convince to flush my cooling system......already. I said, just dump the erring oil so I can be on my way.
