2-3"lift for '00 expedition

2-3"lift for '00 expedition
my dad has an '00 expedition, with a 5.4l. and he wants to lift it 2-3" but the smallest system we've found is 4". so are we limited to just body lifts? help please.

On my 98 F150 I was able to give it a 2" lift, however, they don't call it a lift kit. They call it a 'leveling' kit. Fabatech makes the kit and here is the idea: from the factory, the front end of F150s (and I'd bet Expy's too at leat '97 - '02) are about 2" lower than the rear to help with fuel economy. The 'leveling kit' raises the front end 2" and now the truck is level. To raise the back, simply get 2" blocks, or some add-a-leafs (about a 1.5" lift) & you've got a 2" kit. You'll also need to get new shocks all the way around due to the added travel length.
Beware you might see a little drop in you MPG when making your truck taller. Between my 285/75/16s & 2" kit, it doesn't do as well on gas even when compensating for the difference in tire size.
