Looking for an inexpensive 2-3" lift

Looking for an inexpensive 2-3" lift
I just recently bought a 1996 Ford F-150 4x4 Eddie Bauer and I am wanting some advice on a decent 2-3" suspension lift, that is still fairly inexpensive. Also anyone have any ideas about an inexpensive way to put limited slip or lockers in this truck? Gears I know aren't cheap and are going to have to change from the exsisting 3.55's that are in it.
Thanks

Unless you can pick something up used your looking at about $400-500+ install , which is pretty cheap when it comes to lifts.
National Tire and Wheel has a special on the 4" superlift with shicks for $439.00
A new auburn ls carrier will run you around $300+ install a locker about $200 + install.

Hmm...I would take a look at Superlift or Skyjacker. They are the only two I can think of off the top of my head that seem to be around $500 for the lift, then every shop is going to have their own labor rates to install unless you install it yourself. As far as the limited slips and lockers, well...so far I've been reading up on Powertrax and they seem to be pretty impressive, at least to me, and about $400 or so. Hope this helps some. Goodluck.

If i were you, i'd go with the skyjacker, not superlift. I've had alignment probs with mine and the shocks stink. Skyjacker has no alignment problems, there shocks are good, and they are about the same price. My lift cost me 700 shipped but i installed it myself. That was with shocks, and w/o the longer radius arms which were 200 more. So your looking at about that much.

[updated:LAST EDITED ON 30-Apr-02 AT 04:42 PM (EST)]I never had any alingment problems with my 93 f150Xcab running a 6" superlift. As a matter of fact, remembering back, that was the first truck of my many that had lifts in them that actually rode nice and didn't wear the tires.
