np435 from a divorced setup into a 78 married setup??
My tranny went out of my 78 f150 and it has the usual np435 married to a 205. I got a np435 out of a 73 for free but since trannys and t-cases were divorced in 73 what do I need to do put this tranny in my truck? Is it as simple as changing out tail shafts or is there more involved?

As I read this, there are two different patterns for married vs. divorced. They sell adapters to Jeep TCs, but do not list the 205.

Multiple views here, seems to me the trans case pattern will be your issue:

What is wrong with your original trans?
Maybe you could swap the guts into your old case????
