Hello,

I ripped out my Firestone Rear Air bags and replaced with the Strut-Masters Springs..

I need to turn off my Air Suspension Warning Light. They sent instructions, but i lost them..

There is a wire you have to cut behind the radio or something..

Can someone help me on directions on how to cut that Air Suspension warning Light.

If it just a light and you do not have the control panel display, then all you have to do is remove the air suspension bulb from the cluster.

 

I don't know if any of you folks have noticed this, but if I turn the air suspension switch off in my Navi, it feels like the sway bars are not doing anything.

Turn it back on and it corners sooooo much better.

There is a SAS (Steering Angle Sensor) that measures the rate at which you are turning the steering wheel and informs the Air Suspension module. If you are turning the steering wheel slowly, the ASM takes no action and maintains a nice compliant ride. But turn the steering wheel quickly and the ASM module closes the Front Gate Solenoid and both rear Air Spring Solenoids for a nice flat firm ride.

The reason the ASM closes these solenoids is to isolate the right and left side air when turning the steering wheel quickly. This keeps the vehicle from healing way over like a Greyhound bus does when it turns. In other words, with the Air Suspension Module turned off, if the vehicle wants to lean to the right in a left hand turn the extra weight on the right side air springs would blow some of the air over to the left side air springs and raise the left side of the vehicle while the weight transfer is lowering the right side of the vehicle. Really feels like there is no anti-sway bars on the vehicle.
