I think Ford knew what they were doing when they painted our grilles white (Sungate Ivory for 53 and 54 and Snowshoe white for 55 and 56... unless you got a custom cab in 56 and got a chrome grille). I think the grille painted the body color just doesn't have the contrast it needs and it is too much mono-color...
Just my humble opinion, however. There are a lot of opinions out there...
Hi Doug, the firewall grommets were from Mid-Fifty,

I used two of them because there were too many wires to put through the single hole. The wires at the bottom go to the back, brake, tail lights etc. ones at the top are for engine and front lights, horn etc. these are really nice and fit the original hole in the firewall. I drilled out the second hole and pushed the wire loom all the way through, sticking past the inside to keep any wires from rubbing.
