My summer consisted mostly of making hay. I did manage to make it to cedar point though. And I got to agree with you, the gatekeeper wasn't anything spectacular. I also made it to a whopping three car shows (well, two shows and one cruise in) with my '78 flareside. I got second place at one of them, but I'm still on the hunt for a trophy of any kind with my truck. I wanted to go to a lot more, but I quickly realized there's not much time to take off on the farm when the sun is shining. If there was one thing I realized this summer, it would have to be that the older I get, the more responsibility I have on the farm, and the less free time I got.

On a side note, I'm a lil over a year from being allowed to step foot in a casino, but quite a few of my family members go, and I heard the same things about Cleveland's casino. Hardly all of them weren't paying out

Wow, what is everyone doing? It's like a ghost town.

Anyways, I went to Copley last week and bought a set of west coast mirrors. I haven't decided if I want to go that route yet, but they were the right price.

No problem. I'll gladly show it off this was my first vehicle. I got it when I was 14 at a farm auction up in Astubula county. I'm the second (and probably last) owner. The previous owner told me he just hauled feed with it, and one cow. It looked a little different when I bought it. It had chebby hubcaps, wooden bedsides that stood above the cab, and if the farmer ever scratched it, he'd take a paint brush and any shade of red he had and cover it up. So it had about 5 different shades of red on it. I planned to drive it through high school, but it turned into a bigger project than I thought (wanted to do a quick paint job).

I think that's enough for now...

I don't think they were an option. I think the previous owner put them on to save his taillights. They're just heavy c-channel. I don't know if that was the brightest idea though, because if you hit something, it'll bend the bedside before it hurts anything else. I left them on it because I'd like to get some oak bedsides (matches the floor) made with our farm name engraved in it, and I think those add to the farm truck look.

Good looking job on the truck!

My summer came and went. Not sure what I reallly accomplished? Raced and ??? Um, not sure what else?

Finished #5 in points, my three friends I run with all finished together, 4,5,6,7 so that was kinda cool. Now just have 8 months to sit and wait for it to start all over again.

Have I ever mentioned I HATE winter? LOL!!

Yep, unfortunately, this chapter is one of the quiet ones. There are others where you can hardly follow the posts because there's so much chatter!!!

Summer is the worst for me for getting on here. So busy with work and getting out and riding. I think I only put on 6,000 miles on the bike this summer but despite never getting "hot" and having a few rainy stretches it was a GREAT summer for riding!!!

Quad repairs and maintenance are always keeping me busy, too!! As far as the truck goes, just finalizing the parts for my stereo system. Nothing super fancy, just a huge upgrade from the factory unit. I think 11 years with that system is more than enough, it's time to crank some rock!!

caseihman94, we are always looking for hay. We just bought 500 bales - or was it 750 - so I know we are set for winter. I don't know, the wife does that. I think it was all second cutting, too. The mother in law buys the round bales, do you make square or round?

We do both square bales and roundbales. We normally do 8-10 thousand small square bales and 250 roundbales a year. Every year it varies quite a bit though depending on how much rain (little rain= little to no 2nd cutting). Just about all our square bales gets sold right off the wagon to the Amish. Some of our roundbales get fed to our beef cows, and this is the first year we were able to put some roundbales inside to sell.

I think that answers your question
