too much oil in transmission.
Yesterday, my father accidentally added in 3 extra quarts of mercon v into the transmission (he read the dipstick wrong). Now the oil line is maybe an inch above the full mark. It's going to be a mess trying to take it out. Would this harm the transmission if I just left it in there and change the fluid 10000 miles from now or just take it out? Thanks in advance!

Take it out.
Just put a jug underneath the trans pan, pull the plug, and guestimate when you've dropped enough and put the drain plug back in. Yeah, a little messy, but you have to get it out.
