UPDATE: Crank no start, WITH Tousley and Auto-Nation website changes
F350 120k studs etc check signature. Changed oil and fuel filters last night. Ran truck and everything was good. Drove to work 20 miles still running great. On the way home from work, merging on to highway, truck died. Got to side of road safely. Edge insight showed one code V0100. Consult shop manual. Got it towed. Shop pull LPO spring to check for metal ruling out LPO pump. No metal. Motorcraft filters used always.
Oil pressure 13 PSI. Dash oil gauge moves to lowest range mark on indicator, does not move further on crank. Crank is strong. Oil filter removed and valves in housing are free moving.
FICM voltage 47.7v.
Shop ran out of time and is closed for the day. They plan on ruling out ICP / IPR on Monday. Hoping ICP or IPR.
Any helpful hints beyond the Tech Folder from you Master Techs?
Shop said could still be LPO pump failure but is trying to rule all else out.
Did some searching. I now understand the who what where when why and how. Now got to get at it and prove it. What would be the expected cost to replace the IPR?
Had to fix my wife's car (790.00), stepson's car (1325.00), and had some astronomical Vet bills (1100.00). The bank account has taken a beating this month. Not in the best position! And we don't do credit!
