Hi. A 1976 F350 followed me home the other day. I have owned trucks since 1979 and sold my most recent one, a 2006 Dodge 4wd diesel, two years ago. I got tired of not having a truck, and found this one here in Bismarck. I am the fourth owner of this unique truck. It is a 2wd dually, with a tilting flatbed, 300ci six, and four speed manual (NP 435, the same great transmission I had in my 1979 Dodge). It needs some work, but it has very little rust and seems to be in good mechanical shape (85,000 miles). The most expensive update happened today, with six new Cooper 235/85-16 tires and new steel wheels (the original ones were split rim). I'm enjoying this web site; lots of helpful information here.
Thanks for the welcome. This is my fourth Ford pickup (if you can consider a flatbed a pickup). The others were a 1989 F150, a 2003 F150, and a 2005 F150, all standard cab long box 4wd. My wife learned to drive on a 1966 Bronco, and her dad drove a 1975 (I think) F250 4wd highboy. All had manual transmissions. Great trucks, all of them. Wish we still had that little Bronco!
