I have a 2013 F150 XL. It came with the plain black mirrors with power adjustable glass. I clipped mirrors on the highway today and am looking at switching to tow mirrors. My question is whether or not my truck is wired from the factory to run puddle lights, turn signals, heated glass, etc., or whether I should get unlighted tow mirrors.
I HAD HEAT, TURN, DIMMING WITH POWER ADJUST AND WENT TO OEM TOW MIRRORS ALL STILL WORKS BUT THE DIMMING AND NOW MY PUDDLE LIGHT WORKS!
sorry caps lock was on

Reason: posted it with caps lock on
Would also be interested in whether non heater/lighted mirror trucks have the wiring in place to drop in heated/lighted mirrors.
I am sure ford only has one harness they buy and its all in there. I know someone add tow with heat and they did not have heat but it worked with the back window defrost so its worth a try
Put the new mirrors on today. The puddle lights and blinkers work. I don't think the heat will work on my truck because I have no window defrost button.
If the truck is wired for it it will transfer. Its all plug and play. Mine transferred all features over except tint because that's a glass feature that my new tows don't have. Didn't want it anyway
