2014 Raptor Special Edition
2014 Ford F-150 SVT Raptor Special Edition Coming April 9
The Ford Raptor is quite possibly the most awesomely insane production vehicle to come out of an American carmaker, even counting Ford's own 2013 Shelby GT500, the Dodge Viper, and the previous-generation Corvette ZR1. Soon, it will get a Special Edition.
Arriving April 9 at the Motor Press Guild luncheon at Ford's Design Center Showroom in Irvine, CA, the 2014 Ford F-150 SVT Raptor Special Edition will add unknown qualities to the Baja-capable (at least in FR Raptor XT trim) supertruck.How will Ford make the Raptor even more special? We don't know, but we're eager to find out.

Now with 2014 model year vehicles rolling out, we have been waiting to see what the new SVT Raptor has to offer. Well, the wait is almost over, as Ford has just announced that it will launch the 2014 Raptor with the unveiling of the 2014 F-150 SVT Raptor Special Edition on April 9th at 11:30 a.m. during the Motor Press Guild Luncheon.
Other than the date, time and location of the unveiling, and the fact that this will be a 2014 model year, we are fresh out of details to give, as Ford was rather stingy with them this time around. We’ll keep a close eye on what’s going on with this new Raptor Special Edition and let you in on all of the details once Ford releases them.

Raptors are cool, but comparing it to a Viper or ZR1..I think not

DEARBORN – Ford’s F-150 SVT Raptor, the ultimate high-performance off-road pickup truck, has a new Special Edition package customers can order that adds more unique touches to the hot-selling pickup.
Ford today reveals the 2014 F-150 SVT Raptor Special Edition, which adds unique new touches to Raptor’s existing Luxury Package, including a Ruby Red Metallic exterior color and box-side graphics. Interior upgrades include Brick Red seat bolsters with black inserts and cloth honeycomb highlights, console top finish panel, and center stack and door panel appliqué accents. Raptor Special Edition is also available in Tuxedo Black Metallic.
The 2014 F-150 SVT Raptor Special Edition goes on sale this fall.

I have a 14 raptor on order from Shelby American in Las Vegas. Local dealer will order the 14 raptor, then it will be delivered to Shelby direct from Ford, and then modded to my liking. Many mods to choose from. The first standard option which comes with the18 K package is the 575 Whipple super charger. Go to Shelby American and you can check them out, and build one for free if you like.
