trany swap

i have a 78 lincoln i took the 460 out to put in my 78 f150 4wd. my buddy has a 75 f150 351m , will my trany fit in his truck.. 2wd???? thank's frk

trany swap

A C6 from behind a 460 will fit behind a 351M. You may need to make driveshaft adjustments. The shift points etc will be off when used behind the 351M. You may need to change the vac modulator or use the one out of the C6 that was behind the 351M.

It is better to go this direction than try to use a C6 from behind a 351M in a 460...
