55 F250 I'm looking at

Hey there! Newbie to the old trucks has some questions. I have always wanted a 56 F100 but haven't gotten around to looking to seriously. There is this 55 F250 that I have had my eye on for many years and I see it has come up for sale! ;>) Still like the 56 a but more but the price at $1000 for a pretty solid one has me leaning real hard to this one. Doesn't sound like a bad deal to me at least - it's solid, all there, and I won't have to transport very far. I am looking to resto-mod it anyways, so the fact it's a 25 0 is a moot point. I would be upgrading it to a modern suspension and mill. It's good one to cut my teeth on don't you think? I have been in and around race cars my whole life so I'm not afraid to jump in. I have about 1000 other projects I SHOULD be doing but I know I'm preaching to the quire here! whatcha think? Any input is useful to those who have traveled this path. things I should consider...?

Hi and welcome aboard.
A 55 is another one of my favorites, good luck if you go for it.
