steering radius (or lack of) problem
I have a 1977 f250 supercab longbox 2 wheel drive and was wondering if bad steering radius is common for these truck. I can never seem to just pull strait into a parking spot, I always have to back up halfway in and take another crack at it. Is there any way to improve the steering radius so I can turn a little better. Thanks.

On just about every old Ford I've gotten I could always get a bunch of extra radius out of it by adjusting the bumpstops. I don't know if Ford was conservative at the factory or if the po's fiddled with them. Sometimes (at least on the F-250s 4x4) you can flip the driver shock as this is the limiting factor for the bumpstop. In case you don't know what I'm referring to, its a horizontal adjustable bolt on the inner knuckle that comes to a stop on a pad on the axle.
