2013 5th wheel prep package with RP30156 Reese adapter

I presently own a 2011 Ford F250 with a Husky 5th wheel hitch with a glider attachment (70460) installed on standard rails. Tomorrow or the next day I plan to finalize a deal and trade my 2011 on a factory order for a 2013 F250 Crew Cab 6.7 XLT. I've done some research and believe I can use my Husky 5th wheel hitch with a Reese adapter RP30156. My hitch is adjusted to the lowest position now and my trailer is sitting level. It looks like my pin box can be raised maybe an 1" or so.
Will this configuration work and if so how much higher will my hitch be utilizing the Reese adapter?
I want to order the truck with a factory spayed in liner and prep package.

It sure looks like that adapter is going to gain you at least 2" of hitch height. For what it costs, I'd sell the old hitch and just get the reese elite, but thats just me.

Also you have a fiver and your going to order a truck. Why are you going to order an f250? I'm not trying to be a dick, but trying to understand why I see shortbed F250 with big fivers all the time, and most are over GVWR. If you had the truck before the camper, then I get it, but to order a shortbed, or a 3/4 ton truck when you already have a 5th seems, well, like poor judgement.

I don't know where you are, but here in PA, DOT doesn't play games, and rv's may have grey areas, but GVWR is black and white.

I think 2" may be too much so I may sell the hitch. I have an Ultralite Rockwood and will be within my weight limits no problem. Don't plan on buying a bigger trailer. Don't want a long box because it won't fit in my garage. Have been towing this trailer all over US & Canada with my 2011 no problem. Don't need a long box because trailer has never come close to contacting truck even without the use of my sliding hitch.
Thanks for your feedback.
