That thing is awesome! I don't understand why Ford doesn't put the eco boost in the Raptors. I would also like to see a standard cab short bed 2wd 6 speed manual eco boost f150. Just my 2 cents.

That is really awsome!!! Sounds great also!

I dont't know what is Ford waiting for... They should offer the Eco-boost motor for the Raptor.

Keep in mind - it's a concept truck that required two trucks to make + the labor to do it.
If Ford had actually made it like most wanted - I bet it would been close
to the $50k mark.

I hear ya. My first thought would be to buy a 6.2 raptor, swap out the engine, sell it and put a eb motor in that raptor, might be cheaper vs. the 80k?

It really is surprising ford isn't listening to the people with this one a making a factory eb raptor.

Yea, stand alone crate motor for the EB is ~$15k by itself.
Before I picked my EX - I waited 2 years to see if Ford would make EB-Raptor.
I was shocked that it never showed up on the Options sheet.
After watching the awesome EcoBoost Torture test infomercial/video - my mouth was watering for that engine - in that truck...

SDHQ's come along way. Ryan had done some work on my old 2000 and my dads SD back in the day. Good to see the company doing well.

Well, I guess i'm going to play the devels advocate here. I had a 2012 Lariat Ecoboost with 3.55 gears. That trucks average miles were 15.5. I have a 2012 Raptor with 4.10 and the average miles are 13. Also note the avarage miles on the Raptor have been with winter fuel blend, i expect a small increase when summer fuel is back. I'm pretty sure the additional tire size, weight and ride height would effect the Ecoboost mileage. The turbos would spool alot more moving this truck causing it to require more fuel. I have read on the forums some guys that have lifted there Ecoboosts and increased tire size to that of the Raptors. They have reported mileage loss of 3-4 miles per gallon from there previous average. This only confirms my suspicions that there would be no increase in mileage with the ecoboost under the hood. So if your waiting on a Raptor with a Ecoboost from Ford that is going to produce some high mileage numbers I doubt that's going to happen. As for this guy in the PAID for review of this truck, he claims to get 16 miles per gallon driving it. Sure quite posible driving it like grand ma trying to reach high mileage to be able to say that in his PAID review. I also had a 200 mile all hi-way trip going the speed limit trying to achieve high mileage, guess what big surprise... i also got 16 miles per gallon. I just think there really is no magic bullet out there....
