I am also in the process of installing power brakes in my '66 Ford F100 using a power brake booster from a '69 Ford F100. I am sticking with the original '66 drum brakes front and rear. If I plumb the front brakes independent of the rear brakes to the dual reservoir master cylinder, do I need the brake line junction block safety valve?
If you are referring to the proportioning valve, no you shouldn't need this, since you are sticking with drums front and rear.
No prop valve on Drum Drum. It will have the safety centering valve to activate the brake failure lamp that was stock on the lower left dash on bumpsides.
It is not necessary if you are plumbing the lines separately front and rear. Unless you want to use the failure lamp.
Will a master cylinder for a 67 F100 bolt on to a 64 F100 without modifications? I would like to upgrade to a dual master cylinder with a center valve and brake warning light. Like pburress will stay with drum/drum but I do not need power brakes.
