Ok, found a set of nice take offs from an F250 2008, will they fit a 2002 X? Seems there may be some offset issue? If there is can I use a spacer to resolve the issue?
Please don't use spacers, they are for hacks and cheap azz's. Why risk your life with a spacer in the first place. The wheels will fit but will rub the leaf spring because they set in farther.
Would you know how big of a spacer or what type i might need?
To adapt the late model SuperDuty rims to our earlier trucks you will need 2" HUBCENTRIC spacers from Fred at WheelAdapter.com is your number one source for wheel adapters, wheel spacers, used wheels, and wheel studs. They will cost about $600. There are tons of cheaper spacers out there but you get what you pay for and the cost of failure is pretty high when talking about wheel spacers. Another option is to look (good luck, they arekinda rare) for the '04 Lariat, H-D or KR 18" rims like a few of us have gone to. They are the only plus sized rims from Ford that don't require the $pacer$ to properly fit our earlier front leaf sprung trucks.
