Just installed new monomax shocks front and back. Everything went smoothly, other than one of the lower studs on the front passengers shock snapped off as I was tightening the nuts.
Can anyone tell me are those bolts or pressed-in studs? Do I have to remove the lower control arm? Any help or suggestions is appreciated. Thanks.

Turns out they are a press in stud with a hex head, like a bolt. Confusing and frustrating. Had to drill them out from the top after removing the control arm. Couldn't find any to purchase so used 5/16 (I think) grade 8 bolts with lock washers.
I had one snap on my 02. They were metric. Don't recall the size. Maybe 8mm? Took it to work, dug a bolt out of our bins, and bought one of the welders lunch to weld it on.
Was easier and faster than digging my welder out and remembering hw to use it.
It's a small issue but the bolts are metric and can be a little sloppy with aftermarket replacement shocks and cause noises.
I used SAE size and enlarged the holes to fit the bolt and the shocks.
The spline fit is for assembly line use tighening only on one side take less time.
Good luck.
