I maybe an idiot for posting this, but I have no idea what this is.
What is this hole in the middle of the picture?

Access hole. Is that transmission bellhousing? I'm trying to figure out what we are looking at.

Yeah, thats the exhaust manifold on top, and you're looking towards the back of the engine where it bolts to the tranny. I guess it is the access hole. I took the pic from above the driver side front tire.

That's an access hole to unbolt the transmission torque convertor from the flywheel/ring-gear. There should be a rubber plug to keep dirt out.
